The council has had a no burning policy on its land since 2016 and is highlighting the damaging effects of moorland burning on natural habitats, bio-diversity and people's health. 

Sheffield’s leisure and entertainment venues are set for £117 million of investment and huge improvements as part of ambitious plans for the city. Plans include rebuilds of some of the city’s most popular leisure centres and improvements to Sheffield Arena and City Hall.

Sheffield is one of 14 trailblazer authorities set to receive a £5m share of Government funding as part of the roll out of new Family Hubs.
