Celebrate Lionesses’ final showdown at Devonshire ‘Screen’

A crowd of people sitting in front of a large stage and screen on Devonshire Green in Sheffield

Sheffield will go all the way with England’s Lionesses on their UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 journey, with a big screen on Devonshire Green to watch the live BBC broadcast of the Final when England take on Germany on Sunday (31 July).

After putting on Fan Parties at Devonshire Green for each of the four fixtures, including the epic semi-final held at Bramall Lane in Sheffield, the city will once again come together to celebrate WEURO2022 and cheer on the Lionesses.

Local people and families are invited to come along from 3pm to enjoy music from the Devonshire Green stage, with the big screen returning to show the live action direct from sold-out Wembley stadium at 5pm.

Councillor Julie Grocutt, Deputy Leader at Sheffield City Council said:

“This whole experience has been like a fairy-tale for Sheffield – we’ve had the best matches, the best fans and the best parties.

“Tuesday’s Fan Party and semi-final screening was such a fantastic day and night for the city, we’ve seen the Lionesses’ heart and soul on the pitch and watched them roar straight to the final. Now we want to finish this journey with one more celebration, coming together to get behind these inspirational women.

“I hope we’ll see lots of people come along to enjoy the game and all we ask is that everyone continues with the happy atmosphere we’ve seen throughout, respecting each other and regardless of the outcome recognising the phenomenal performances of our Lionesses all the way.”
