Plans to turn a building in Sheffield city centre into a mixed-use cultural community hub have moved forward with the appointment of the lead contractor.
Council set to appoint interim Chief Executive
Mark Bennett, Director of HR and Customer Services at Sheffield City Council, said:
“In October, John Mothersole announced he would be retiring from his role of Chief Executive of Sheffield City Council.
“In line with our constitutional and democratic processes, a panel of Elected Members are recommending the appointment of Charlie Adan, an experienced interim Chief Executive who will provide stability and continuity until a permanent Chief Executive is appointed, which could take up to six months.
“It is vital that we appoint someone with the experience required for this role, providing a strong level of leadership and expertise in shaping and delivering member priorities within a large local authority organisation.
“The recruitment of a permanent position is now underway.”
