Elections 2021 – the results

The results of the 2021 Local Elections for Sheffield are in, following a count like no other amid the global pandemic.

The makeup of Sheffield City Council is:

• Labour - 41
• Liberal Democrats - 29
• Green Party - 13
• Conservatives - 1

Turnout for the city was 34.3%

Kate Josephs, Sheffield City Council Returning Officer Kate said:

“This year’s elections will go down in history, with teams across the country working tirelessly to deliver a safe and accurate election. I want to say a massive thank you to them, and to everyone – however they voted – for playing their part in Sheffield’s democracy.”
