Flooding updates - October 2023

Update - Tuesday 24th October.

- Amber weather warnings for rain are no longer in place across Sheffield.

- A yellow weather warning for rain is place across parts of South Yorkshire towards the East Coast on Tuesday (24th) and Wednesday (25th). Further details on the Met Office website

- There is a low risk of river and surface water flooding on Tuesday (24th) and Wednesday (25th). See more details: Flooding risk map. 

Below is a list of all the latest updates in relation to the amber weather warning for rain across Sheffield and the surrounding areas which was in place on Friday (20th) and into the weekend. Sheffield City Council worked alongside Amey throughout the weather to mitigate risk of flooding.

Sandbags: If your property floods and you require sandbags, please contact 0114 273 4567 and select option 1, then option 2. Full information on sandbags can be found here. Please do not turn up at Olive Grove Depot.

All parks are now reopened but visitors are asked to remain cautious of flood-related damage.
