Funding accepted to continue successful delivery of adult learning in Sheffield

Sheffield's Family, Adult and Community Education Service (FACES) has been given the go ahead to accept funding from the Adult Skills Fund.

At this morning's Economic Development and Skills Committee, councillors agreed the service could accept the 2024/25 Adult Skills Fund grant allocation, from the South Yorkshire Mayoral Authority.

The money will enable delivery of vital adult learning provision across the city and meet regional skills demands.

It will also  enable the service to continue to reach to some of the most disadvantaged communities and offer them the opportunity to begin a pathway towards employment.
