Overnight diversions will be in place for three weeks as resurfacing works are carried out on Chesterfield Road in Woodseats.

The works, which will start on Sunday, 10 March and will be carried out in three phases, will take place overnight between 9pm and 5am and will require the road to be closed during these hours to keep pedestrians, motorists and staff safe.

The road will be open as normal during the day while there will be multiple diversions in place between 9pm and 5am to enable access for residents.

The three phases will take place on:

  • Phase one: Sunday 10 March – Chesterfield Road will be closed after the Heeley Retail Park junction with Underwood Road
  • Phase two: Thursday, 14 March – Chesterfield Road will be closed at the junction with The Dale
  • Phase three: Tuesday 19th March – Chesterfield Road will be closed at the junction with Woodseats Road.

For those motorists who use Chesterfield Road to travel into the city centre, the road will be closed at the junction with Abbey Lane for each of the three phases of work.

While the resurfacing and road closures will cause some disruption, residents and motorists are asked to be respectful to the workforce as they carry out their work.
