Sheffield Local Elections 2024 – The results are in

The results of the 2024 Local Elections for Sheffield have been confirmed.

The makeup of Sheffield City Council is as follows:

Labour - 36

Liberal Democrats - 27

Green Party - 14

Sheffield Community Councillors - 6

Independent – 1

Sheffield Council is made up of 84 elected members, with three councillors representing each of our 28 wards. This year, 29 council seats were being contested.

The overall local election turnout was 32.7%.

Kate Josephs, Sheffield City Council Returning Officer Kate said: “It’s been another busy election results day in our city.

“Months of work goes into running elections each year and I’d like to say thank you to the great teams in Sheffield who made this happen. A big thank you also to everyone who took the time to exercise their right to vote.”
