Tramlines is one of the UK’s longest running, city-based music festivals and a highlight in Sheffield’s year-round calendar of events and festivals. 

The festival is back once again this year and will take place between Friday 26th and Sunday 28th of July 2024, at Hillsborough Park in Sheffield with headliners Paolo Nutini, Jamie T and Snow Patrol set to bring electrifying sets to the city.

Whilst Tramlines in Hillsborough Park is ticketed event, 2024 sees the return of the Fringe at Tramlines. 

Taking place across outdoor spaces, pubs, bars and music venues across the city centre and beyond, expect a whole load of free events to suit all music tastes.

The event will take place alongside the main festival between the 26th and the 28th July 2024.

The Fringe At Tramlines 2024: Road closures and parking

Road closures

To improve safety at the event and for other users of the city centre over The Fringe At Tramlines event the following road closures will be in place:

Saturday 27 July 7am until Sunday 28 July 8pm

Devonshire Street between Fitzwilliam Street and Trafalgar Street/Westfield Terrace will be closed for the Devonshire Green event.

Access for deliveries will be allowed between 11pm and 10am and access to resident parking will be maintained. 

Saturday 27 July: 7am to 10pm

Devonshire Street, Division Street and Cambridge Street (from the Cross Burgess Street junction) will be closed to traffic.

This also includes closures of Rockingham Street, Carver Street and all crossover points. Trafalgar Street and Canning Street will be blocked at their junctions with Division Street.

Access to resident parking will be maintained. Access for deliveries until 10am.

Car Park access

Eldon Street car park will be accessible from West Street. 

Fitzwilliam Street car park will be accessible from Charter Row

Rockingham Street car park will be accessible from Wellington Street and Charter Row. 

Carver Lane car park will be accessible from West Street but there will be no access to Carver Street beyond the car park entrance. 

Access to private car parks, side street parking spaces, and drop offs to properties on streets leading onto Devonshire Street and Division Street will be maintained.

There will be no crossovers or access to Devonshire Street and Division Street from these side roads during the closure times.
