"The World Seniors Championship... plays homage to the legends that built Snooker in Sheffield"

Today (Friday 10th May 2024), World Seniors Championship (WSS) hosted 600 local Sheffield residents, all from an ageing population, living in isolation or who are classed as vulnerable, at the Crucible Theatre to watch Snooker legends in action.

Seniors Day in Sheffield was brought together by WSS and Age UK to celebrate the legacy of Snooker in Sheffield, with the people who helped create it. That includes both those who have been watching the Snooker in the city for many years, and the players that have 'been part of the fabric of the Crucible Theatre for more than 40 years'.
